About Roger
After qualifying from Bristol Vet School in 1992, Roger spent a number of years in general practice specialising in farm animals to begin with and later, horses. In 1995 he experimented with magnotherapy initially to prove to himself that it didn't work. Following a number of unexpected results (!) he began using magnets in his work to great effect and was featured in Farmers Weekly magazine for work with downer cows.
Since then he has further explored the holistic way of treatment and was the first Vet to routinely use Scenar Therapy for animals. His successes range from severe burns on a pig to cats with kidney failure, although the majority of his work is now involved with treating all types of horses primarily for injuries, and often their owners too!
Apart from injuries Roger has had notable successes in treating allergies and other more medical problems in horses, people and dogs. Roger specialises in taking on cases where conventional approaches are offering little or no hope or are proving refractory to treatment which might be expected to work and where a more natural approach is desired.

Top riders are now recognising the great potential to use Roger's services to "high performance tune" their horses. Horses in top level intensive work benefit from treatment by quicker and more effective recovery from training sessions and competitions. Minor imbalances are prevented from developing into more major ones and the likelihood of injuries is significantly reduced.
Scenar therapy has taken Roger internationally, mostly to the USA, where he has treated both horses and people and taught Scenar therapy. He has also been to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and Turkey with his work. More recently Roger has started treating top horses in Italy.
Roger has also been brought in by an Insurance syndicate to help with problem cases to reduce insurance claims. Treatment costs have been successfully reclaimed from insurance companies in many cases barring exclusions of course.
Roger regularly treats people for injuries old and new including bad backs, sore joints and sports injuries. The Daily Mail reported Roger's success in treating England international rugby player Mike Catt. Medical conditions can also be treated.
Roger continues to source different technologies from around the world to improve treatment options and stay at the forefront of veterinary advancements in Energy Medicine. The e-Lybra® 8 was added to his arsenal of treatments in 2003 (upgraded to the e-Lybra® 9 in 2008) and Roger has had great success with using it for a wide range of problems including allergies such as Sweetitch, COPD and skin reactions. More information on Scenar and e-Lybra® 9 and its related technologies can be found on the "Treatments" pages.
Most recently, Roger is using a new sound therapy unit developed in Canada to very successfully treat people with arthritis. Preliminary combination treatments with Scenar have proven very beneficial.
In November 2007, Roger qualified as an Equine Iridologist. This is a diagnostic technique that relies on using changes in the iris of the eye to see what has happened in the past and what is happening in the rest of the body now. More detail can be found on the "Treatment" pages.
As a keen (although modestly achieving) sportsman Roger has always been interested in performance optimisation. He consults for Sporting Edge UK Ltd with regard to altitude training equipment for horses and greyhounds.
Roger's faithful dog TD (pictured on the left) is the other important member of Natural Healing Solutions. He, along with Roger, has often been the guinea-pig for the various techniques used!
Roger had a brief but successful TV career with a series of appearances for Channel 5's Pets Go Public with Peter Purvis winning £1000 divided between 6 different animal charities. In Spring 2008, Roger appeared on the BBC Lottery Quiz show "1 v 100" although unfortunately he was one of the 100 and didn't get a chance to win any money!! Roger has had a number of editorial articles featured in Absolute Horse magazine and a feature article on his use of Scenar in the December 2003 issue of Horse magazine. He has also had magazine editorials he has written published in Positive Health on Scenar, e-Lybra and Quinton Marine Plasma and Pacemaker published an article written by Roger on the benefits of Simulated Altitude Training in race horses.
Outside his interest in health, Roger also takes an active interest in helping to promote and find funding for new technologies or projects that have humanitarian or ecological applications. His present ones include funding further research into the Podkletnov Effect, a new technique for joining plastics that could initiate a new industrial revolution in the use of polymers and the use of algae to reduce atmospheric CO2 whilst producing fertilizer. |
